Woa, long time no post here. I really have nothing new to display here anymore since everything I make gets used for vote incentives, and I haven't been able to work faster to make extra stuff that's not a reuse of the incentives. And those sketches are due to be uploaded to the main site at some point anyway, so this blog has really lost its purpose. :/

I'll paste another reuse for now and think about what to display here in the future. D:

For those who actually check out my dA or MB accounts, you may have noticed I mentioned Pixiv Fantasia III (or PF3) there on my two latest submissions:



PF3 is an event going on over at pixiv right now where artists draw OCs/items/locations/etc in a fantasy world RP. There's a very well put together summary with a list of current events and such here by maiki. I noticed many English-speaking artists I follow were talking about it and making characters, so I kinda jumped on the bandwagon too and made the above two and a pixiv account (I didn't have one prior to joining this event /swt).

People who know me well may know that I'm not really into RPs in general, but this event has been very interesting, I've actually been trying to follow up with it and participate once in a while, my recent contribution being a mass purchase of ネ口耳(nekuchimimi) (which are pretty much cat ears that has the power to curse one of the country's leaders lol) to give out to the guild I joined. Just as an example of how this world really revolves around the artists' ideas, that item was based off another creation, the ネロ耳(neromimi), which sends support vibes to the aforementioned country leader. Someone even made a dog ears variation too for the dog fans, but with no special effects. xD

I've been more of a follower than a contributor so far (some people submit stuff DAILY. Man, I can't imagine... and awesome quality too x_x;; ), but I'm hoping to see through this event till the end. Chapter 2 just ended today (total of 4 chapters) and the event ends on May 10th Japan time.

On a final note, I'd really love to see some of the English-speaking art communities try to pull off something like this. O_O It does sound like a lot of work for the mods (with counting up all the points for each story and all), but seeing how successful it's been on pixiv, I'd really love to see someone give this a thought.

I wish I had more patience and a stronger resolve so I could actually finish this before NYAF...



It only took 1 RO party invitation for me to not want to do this anymore. 8D; Oh my weak resolution and easily distracted mind orz (although the party was fun... xD Served more than enough as a much needed break)

As for my patience... I started coloring even before I finished the line art. Now what ever am I going to do with that throne... O_O;;;

I'm starting to like the purples and reds again in addition to my usual blues. Can you tell?

Hm... what else... *trying to postpone bringing junk back into room as much as possible* 8D; So, I'm back in my room now... and I DID set up the scanner, so at least a page should be ready this Sunday (still sketching next page >A>; ). Oh yeah, I think I figured out why I was so out of it before... well, if my room has any special properties that mysteriously makes me feel better, that could be it too. But I think the problem was the room I was spending most of my time in for the last week or so. The ventilation in that room SUCKS. >A>; Especially because doors/halls had to be closed off to prevent painting/wall-tearing mess from spreading... So quite possibly... oxygen deficiency? 8D;;; *swtswtswtswtswt* Because... I'm completely fine today... and I didn't spend any time in there today... O_O; I could also be getting anemic again, that would make me even more oxygen-deficient too.

...I am totally rambling right now and putting off room clean-up. 8D;;

Because I am currently very frustrated with a variety of things. And the PC going insane beyond my power to help it last night is nudging me towards the edge even more. At least I left it in good hands this morning... but I don't want to explode again. I just exploded a few days ago, and it lasted a good 3 days. :(

As it says, a re-do. Because the first attempt to design was so bad anatomy-wise (yes, worse than this here, you don't want to see it 8D ).

I'm still considering fixing Naire's hair... because it looks so similar to Riedre's style. =/ Then again, their personalities are way different, it's not like they'll clash too much (characters with similar personalities AND appearance, now that I should worry about more... >_>).

I can't guarantee I will definitely use your idea, or that I'll pick the ideas in the order they are requested. But I think this will give me a wider variety of ideas to work with than just me thinking of picture ideas. Yeah sure you lazy zombie. It can be just one character or as many characters as you want, as long as it's SC. Or to make this more fun, you can make the request in the form of a question and I could try to answer it in the picture. I don't know. Play around with it. I'm tired of drawing chibis, I'd like to have something to look forward to right now. Amuse me.

And these will most likely be full color CGs or copic drawings.

Secondly. The new poll. I find it very funny that Beyll is winning so far. Cuz... I mean... Beyll pwning everyone at DDR is a pretty funny sight to imagine. I actually imagined that he'd be the worst on something like DDR; he'd be so serious and try so hard, but fail, and he won't admit his failure so he'd keep trying. xD;; But now, I can just see him beat the Extreme levels with perfect elegance in his moves LOLOLOL!!! xDDD Ah well, it's still just a few votes. You know. I've been thinking.
Beyll used to be the most popular character in SC (as seen in the poll) and supposedly the coolest and evilest that's in the manga so far (well... at least I aim for something like that).
I guess he still is.
But somehow, he ended up becoming "the most dressed-up character in SC" as well.

2008 has been the year of SC dress-up madness (or just plain SC madness) so far, starting as early as January. 8D I never expected this year to roll out like this at the end of 2007. But I'm loving every bit of it. Thank you everyone for contributing to the madness? xDDDDD;

I'm actually kinda glad that this page is late LOL
It gave me a chance to think about what I want to do with the rest of chapter 1.
The way it's planned out right now, it's supposed to go over 100 pages. Very long...yesh... ._.;;
So I was wondering whether I should cut it in half.
And the page I'm working on now happens to be a good spot to do that, or at least start working my way towards an end. 8D

Would splitting the chapter into two have an advantage? Or a point?
Probably not. If anything, it's going to give me MORE pages to dish out (for transition between the chapters...). But I like the adjustment I have in mind... and seeing an end to the chapter closer is easier on the mind for me. xDDD

I've wanted to join Shilin's contest, but I never did anything about it... so I tried sketching something for it today~

Thinking about the processes that would follow this sketch all the way to completion... was major OUCH. There is no way I'm going to finish this in time. T_T I think I'll still work on it though; if I don't finish it in time, at least I'll have a full-color CG done some months later.

The great thing about sketching a day is that, given my manga-drawing pace, I can upload a few here and still have more than enough to use as voting incentives when I update a page. xD;
But the bad thing is...
It's... it's starting to approach spoiler material... I already drew a couple dangerous ones before, but that's just because of the names and descriptions I wrote down, nothing that I can't censor out.
But the one I drew today is kinda pushing it. If I censor out the spoilers on this one, you'll just have Lionel's back facing you. Fun.

Thinking realistically though, there's no way (unless some miracle happens) that I'll ever work my way far enough to even touch upon these spoilery stuff. So it really shouldn't matter whether I censor things or not...

Meh. I dunno.
I'll keep the censors for now and hope that someday I'll go far enough to be able to remove them?
Or.
People I know IRL can force me to forfeit my sketchbook somehow...?


Seriously though.
I've been thinking a lot about this.
It's great that I keep getting neat ideas for the story, but I'm rather pessimistic about whether I'll ever be able to work myself to even get there. And this whole manga-drawing starts to feel pointless once this thought process starts... I even start wondering whether I should just plain write the damn story out to get things rolling faster.

At least I'm still enjoying this though. I think that's all that's helping me keep this going.
